Apologia. Almanac on the Easel is a printed edition — a variation of the coffee-table book — worthy of any collection of stylish, fashionable art objects, though not always clear to the majority of this world’s observers.
We have no mission. We just attract the best creators. We help creators from different cultures connect and create something new together. We stand for creativity, business, boldness, openness, and mutual benefit. And if, as a side effect of these ambitions, there happens to be even the slightest benefit for humanity at large — consider it pure coincidence.
As partners of the legendary Nevsky Almanac, published in St. Petersburg since 1825, we release Almanac on the Easel as a special edition dedicated to the cross-cultural mosaic and to locations that bring people together, creating patterns of new cultural interactions.
Irony and eclecticism define both our character and our content. We do not merge into one. We only slightly draw back the curtain. Each art object — each hero of our collection — preserves its identity while contributing its knowledge, thereby expanding the boundaries of how we all perceive this world.
This project is funded by patrons and participants, which ensures our independence from political conjunctures. Yet our boldness ends where themes of politics, religion, aggression, or any form of division begin.
The pages of our edition are always open to strong, creative, and remarkable personalities; editorial contacts are listed everywhere.
